Isooctyl oleate is an aliphatic ester compound produced by the esterification reaction of oleic acid and isooctanol (2-ethylhexanol). It is a colorless to pale yellow transparent oily liquid, no pungent odor and almost insoluble in water (solubility <0.01g/100mL water at 20°C). It is easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, and mineral oil, and has excellent compatibility with polymer materials like PVC resin, synthetic rubber, and polyolefins. This product is chemically stable, with excellent low-temperature resistance, low volatility, good lubricity, and low toxicity, making it a commonly used plasticizer, lubricant, and solvent in industrial applications. Its outstanding lubrication performance and high viscosity ensure stable lubrication across a wide temperature range.
